Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, is a quieter city than Aba but an important one. It is home to the state government, a strong research community at Umudike, and some of Nigeria’s best-known schools. Compuvilla has been selling computers since 2006, and we deliver UK and US used laptops to Umuahia and across Abia State.
Laptops for MOUAU students and researchers
Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike (MOUAU) is just outside Umuahia, next to the National Root Crops Research Institute. Students and researchers there work with data, write long theses and reports, and often run statistical software. A reliable business-grade laptop with enough memory and a solid-state drive makes that work much smoother. Tell us your department and budget, and we will suggest options. See current prices in our shop.
Laptops for civil servants and health workers
As the state capital, Umuahia has many people working in ministries and agencies, at the Federal Medical Centre Umuahia, and in schools across the city. Reports, spreadsheets, payroll and online forms all need a dependable computer. We will help you choose a laptop that fits your work without paying for power you will never use.
Laptops for students and families
Umuahia is home to Government College Umuahia, one of Nigeria’s most famous secondary schools, along with many other schools. Parents often buy a laptop for a child preparing for JAMB or starting university. A well-built used laptop from the UK or US is a sensible choice for a first computer.
Researchers at Umudike who travel for fieldwork may also want a lighter laptop with better battery life, so mention that when you message us.
Across the city
Whether you are in Ibeku, World Bank, Ehimiri, Isi Gate, along Aba Road or Bende Road, we can deliver to you. Message us with your area.
Delivery to Umuahia and beyond
We send laptops from our shop in Enugu in one of two ways:
- Mass transit bus (1-3 days), the faster option.
- GIG Logistics (5-7 days), if you prefer a courier.
We’ll agree the delivery option and pickup point with you on WhatsApp. We also deliver to Umudike, Ohafia, Bende and nearby towns. The fee depends on your location, so WhatsApp us for your delivery fee. Online customers pay by bank transfer, and we dispatch once payment is confirmed.
Our 30-day warranty
Every laptop comes with a 30-day warranty covering the laptop, its parts and its battery. The warranty does not cover the screen, drops or liquid spills, and we do not accept returns for a change of mind, so please ask every question before you pay. Keep your laptop in a padded bag when moving between campus, office and home.
